On Saturday, embark on an exciting journey into the world of SCUBA diving in the NASA heated Underwater Astronaut Trainer tank in Huntsville, Alabama! Our trained Dive Instructors will lead participants in a series of tasks designed to be challenging and fun. Completion of this activity entitles the participant to an exclusive Underwater Astronaut Trainer recognition card. Then on Sunday, have a great dive day at Blue Water Park in Pelham, AL!

THE FINE PRINT
The US Space & Rocket Center is approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes drive from Diventures Alpharetta. Equipment must be rented in advance. Tanks are included, but divers are responsible for obtaining a BCD, regulator, computer, and weights. Gear can be picked up on Thursday or Friday prior to the trip. It should be returned on Tuesday after the trip. Because of this environment, a 3mm full wetsuit is required. We recommend using a hooded vest as well. Wetsuits are available for purchase. Participants must be age 14 or older, and participants under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
A valid RSTC medical statement is required for participation in this activity.
ACTIVE DIVER POLICY
If it has been more than 1 year since your last dive, please schedule a Scuba Skills Update prior to the dive experience.
EQUIPMENT USAGE POLICY
- To promote a safe and positive dive experience: All BCD's and Regulators used on any Diventures Alpharetta activity/dive must have current annual inspection/service records.
- You must provide proof of service, by an AUTHORIZED DEALER, within the last twelve (12) months.
- If you do not have proof of service within TWELVE (12) MONTHS, the equipment must be serviced by an AUTHORIZED DEALER prior to use on a Diventures Alpharetta trip/activity. You may have your equipment serviced by ANY Authorized Dealer.
- If you choose to have your gear serviced by Diventures Alpharetta, please bring in your equipment 2 weeks prior to scheduled use.
INSURANCE POLICY
Diventures requires all participants who will be participating in any diving activities during their trip to purchase Dive Medical Insurance. While you have many insurance options, we are a partner with DAN where you can enroll in medical and travel insurance.
