Most algorithms are only designed for dive planning up to 1000 feet above sea level.  Any water that is above that threshold is considered altitude diving, and some additional training is required to perform those dives safely.  So before you dive that high mountain lake or some other grand adventure, take the SSI Altitude Diving so that you learn how to plan your dive at altitude and ensure you take all necessary precautions!
